Great Italian restaurants in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Italian restaurants are by no means in short supply. Here are a few of the best that Los Angeles has to offer.

Angelini Osteria

For fine Italian dinning, Angelini Osteria is the place to go.

For lunch enjoy a selection of pizzas, pastas, chicken and more. For dinner indulge in meals prepared by chef Gino Angelini including risotto with asparagus and mushrooms, anchovies with beets and artichokes or Nonna Elvira’s green lasagna, to list a few. Weekly specials are also available.

Due to popularity reservation are suggested.

Angelini Osteria is located at 7313 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. 90036. (323) 297-0070

Campanile is an elegant restaurant complete with a bell tower, fountain, bar and bakery.

Enjoy plates prepared by Mark Peel (owner and chef), such as artichoke hearts and black olives, charred baby lamb with mustard butter or flageolet beans and sauted bitter greens. Don’t forget to have one of the spectacular desserts as well.

Thursday nights is grilled cheese sandwich night and on Monday nights there is a reasonably priced, menu for families.

Campanile is located at 624 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, Ca. 90036. (323) 938-1447

Il Grano

Il Grano has been beautifully redesigned in white and black tones, keeping only the restaurants name and of course Salvatore Marino, chef and owner.

Marino himself goes to the fish market to select his fish and uses organic vegetables. Being he uses everything fresh, the menu is always changing, as the produce seasons change.

Enjoy a plate of Marino’s calf tongue in a parsley basil sauce or an Alaskan Halibut perfectly cooked in lobster-saffron sauce. Finish off with the blood orange semifreddo or the poached pear for dessert. The wine list includes old, rare, vintage wines along with organic wines from California and Italy.

The Il Grano is located at 11359 Santa Monica Blvd., West Los Angeles, Ca. 90025. (310) 477-7886

Anna’s Italian Restaurant

Anna’s Italian Restaurant was established in 1969 and had a seating capacity of only 40 guests. Since then another room had been added, making seating for a total of 90 guests.

Have an appetizer, a soup or salad or a handmade pizza, with over twenty toppings to choose from. Enjoy classic pasta meals as well as original creations such as Fettuccine Fantasia or Tagliarini Verdi Al Gorgonzola. Don’t forget about the veal, classic or creation as well as the beef, chicken, sea food and vegetarian plates.

Also be sure to have a look at the daily specials. The wine list consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, merlot, Chardonnay and more.

Anna’s Italian Restaurant is located at 10929 W. Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, Ca. 90064. (310) 474-0102
